The Singles Source

Open to all like-minded singles
 of all ages in Southwest Florida!

 
We welcome all singles to our group! Anyone who is interested, please contact us or just show up to one of our events!  Many new friendships have been made, and our group has shared many good times and good fellowship.   You will enjoy our friendly, active, and welcoming group!   The group is a blend of like-minded single adults from various local churches, including Covenant Presbyterian Church, Cypress Lake Presbyterian Church, New Hope Presbyterian Church, Faith United Methodist Chuprch, and Faith Presbyterian Church in Cape Coral.

Don Munch, who was with our singles' group since its reorganization in September of 2003, sent a very nice email to let us know that he's decided to step down from a leadership role in the group due to his many commitments at school, including new graduate studies, and to other organizations. He feels he no longer has the time to give the singles' ministry the effort it deserves. 

Don wrote the following:  "I am forever grateful for the many friendships I have made through the group.  Some of these friendships are continuing beyond my leadership role, and that's great."

Don was wonderful to work with - always considerate and well organized as he arranged the singles' activities each month for many years.  We appreciate all his TLC on behalf of the singles' group!  Thanks so much, Don!  May God bless you!

 Mission, Vision, and Core Values

 MISSION

The mission of The Singles Source is to create a network for social and spiritual interaction among those who, either by choice or by circumstance, are unmarried, divorced, or widowed.

VISION

The vision of The Singles Source is to form an environment in which single adults can find a sense of community and have the security of knowing that being single does not have to mean being alone.

The vision of The Singles Source is also to provide godly social activities through which single adult members can

  1. connect with each other.

  2. reach out to other single adults in our community who are in need of a loving and caring church home.

  3. bond in friendships which will result in their ministering to one another’s spiritual needs and offering practical assistance to other group members when needed.

 CORE VALUES

  1. We believe in the spiritual values and standards of Covenant Presbyterian Church.

  2. We believe that Christ is the center of our lives and should also be at the center of our relationships.

  3. We believe that singleness is a positive lifestyle choice.

  4. We believe that one who chooses to live without a partner, either temporarily or permanently, can be a whole and complete person.

  5. We believe that, although the Christian’s primary accountability is to God, a group of likeminded believers can strengthen one another’s Christian walk by acting as mutual accountability partners.

  6. We believe that single parents will benefit from a support network which encourages them to fulfill their God-given responsibility toward their children and provides them with the necessary spiritual resources.

  7. We believe that a safe and inviting social environment will help single adults to  form a stronger connection to the church.

  8. We believe that a sense of being connected to and valued within the church will encourage single adults to become more active in the ministry of the church.

  9. We believe that single Christian adults who wish to find Godly mates need an environment in which they can meet likeminded people.

  10. We believe that the body of Christ consists of many members, each having  different gifts and talents and different life circumstances, but each equally necessary to the health and function of the whole body (Romans 12: 4-8.)
